Graduated from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
Since 2018 – President of Artists` Union of Armenia;
From 2019-2022 – Chairman of Boards of Trustees of State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia;
Since 2022 – Member of Boards of Trustees of State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia;
2020-2021 Chairman of the Diploma Examination Commission of the State Courses of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia;
Since 2019 – Lecturer at State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia;
From 2010-2015 – Co-Chairman of AUA Youth Coalition;
From 2013-2018 – member of AUA Governing Board.
Since 2018, leading the Artists’ Union of Armenia, has organized several dozen exhibitions and international projects.
Participation in numerous exhibitions in Armenia and abroad, awards and diplomas since 2000 till now.
He is a designer of over a dozen of puppet shows and open-air festivities, including “Yes for Children “performance, XIV International Puppet Festival, Perugia, Italy in 2001.
Paintings by Suren Safaryan (Safar) can be found in private collections in Armenia and abroad, as well as in National Gallery of Armenia.
